I love driving. So much so that I’ve put over 60,000 miles on my daily driver in the last two years. Admittedly, a large amount of that was driving for work, but that does not mean I haven’t enjoyed those miles. Especially because I am fortunate enough to live in upstate New York so any long drives here are very picturesque. Much more so than the Midwest where I grew up.

I bought my Regal when I downgraded from two vehicles to one. I needed a good compromise vehicle that did many things well. The Regal had the room of a crossover, the driving dynamics of a car, an AWD system for Northeast winters, acceptable performance, and not too extravagant a price. Obviously, a Mercedes Benz E63 AMG wagon would be (substantially) more fun, but unfortunately I can’t afford it, new or used (+maintenance cost).

Exploring the Adirondacks in the winter.

I’ll write more about the adventures I’ve had with the Regal, for now I just wanted to introduce my current road trip car.
